REMBRANDT ENTERPRISES, INC is named Egg Products Company of the Year 2009 by the International Egg Commission (IEC).

In brief, here is what the IEC had to say about the award:

"This year, IEC judges presented the Egg Products Company of the Year 2009 award to Rembrandt Foods. Based in the U.S., Rembrandt is one of the largest egg producers in the world. Rembrandt's outstanding performance in quality, innovation, marketing, technology and sustainability impressed the IEC's panel of independent judges.

The international judging panel was particularly interested in Rembrandt's control of its production chain, how it manages the complete process, from the feed, right through to the final consumer. The company's site breaking system, and its use of by-products also impressed the judging panel, offering an excellent example of vertical integration."

The IEC, established in 1964, is the Global Network for the egg industry with members in over 55 countries around the world. The IEC promotes: international co-operation among all sectors of the egg industry, encourages the hygienic production of eggs and egg products, studies and assists with problems of international trade, encourages improvements in all aspects of egg production and encourages action to help safeguard the environment.

REMBRANDT ENTERPRISES, INC ACQUIRES ASSETS OF GOLDEN OVAL EGGS

Rembrandt, IA – March 30, 2009 – Rembrandt Enterprises, Inc announced the purchase of Golden Oval Eggs.

Dave Rettig, President of Rembrandt Enterprises, Inc, said, "We felt that Golden Oval Eggs was complementary to Rembrandt Enterprises in terms of the business, the people and the culture.
