Rembrandt Foods About Us

Sustainability: Part of Our DNA

Sustainability has been a part of our DNA since we designed and built our Rembrandt facility. As well as delivering the freshest, most functional egg products, we’re also committed to lowering our carbon footprint.

This is how we accomplish that: We buy our corn and soybeans from local farmers and test them for quality and residues. From those raw ingredients, we mill our own feed. We buy day-old chicks locally and, using that feed, raise them to our specifications.

We care for, house and collect eggs daily from over 14 million hens. We break the eggs the same day in our state-of-the-art facilities. Within hours, the eggs are pasteurized and processed.

All by-products are returned as fertilizer to our farmer partners to enrich their land the following year. And we produce high-quality soy oil in our mill that we sell to foodservice companies.
